Learning Journey comments

Interesting, frustrating, entertaining, etc., etc. I'm glad I tried this training just so I can be aware of blogging, RSS, etc. To be honest, all of this computer technology does not interest me, but I felt good to become familiar with. There were days where distractions and trying to find time to learn made it very hard to concentrate.

Finding time to participate in learning and trying to avoid distractions seem to be a concern among staff members.

I'm not sure if I would participate in another program. I'm glad I did it, but it seemed like it went on forever.

Week 10

I inserted on my blog the YouTube video "Why firefighting." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc0iGWfiSgw

I viewed Podcast alley.

For Download Library I downloaded the title "Desiring God" by John Piper.

Week 9

I found the information provided in this week quite interesting. I never realized there were so many web-based applications. I was impressed with "Google Docs." Their video tour was so helpful and simplistic. I will explore the web-based applications much more at home -- if I can ever find the time. I would also like to find the time to use "Library Thing." That would have been very helpful and beneficial to use a while ago. I am interested in seeing what books are in the "good reading" list and what books are in the "not good reading" list.

Week 8

A lot and lot of reading and I think went well.

Week 7

I did find Del.icio.us very helpful and will pursue using it. I will use this website tool to hopefully save time looking for favorite websites. The Otter Group and Technorati had so much reading, that I found my focus shifting.

I did find a site that provided delectible snacks in Del.icio.us, that, made me question why anyone would want to eat a chocolate covered scorpion.

Week 6

Tom's zodiac sign is a Libra. For being the creator of MySpace, his page was kind of boring. Maybe he is too busy to jazz it up.
